Gabriela Fullon

Gabriela Fullon is a Filipina American Mental Health Counselor, educator, and organizer who was born and raised in New York.  She currently works with adolescents and adults dealing with chronic pain, PTSD, depression, and anxiety at a private practice in New York City.  Her clinical interests include racial and ethnic identity, family systems and acculturative stress, somatization, intergenerational trauma, Indigenous healing practices, and psychoeducation.  In addition to her mental health work, Fullon organizes nationally with the Education for Liberation Network and the Free Minds Free People Conference.

 

Prior to coming to Hunter, Fullon was a classroom teacher in Boston Public Schools and directed programs for young women in the Bronx.  Fullon studied Human Development, American Heritages, and Black Studies and earned her MS.Ed. in Secondary Education and History from Boston College.  She is also a graduate of the Mental Health Counseling program at Hunter College.
