Hung Cam Thai is an award-winning American author and full professor of sociology and Asian American Studies at Pomona. He currently holds the Thomas Tam Professorship at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Thai divides his time between Saigon, Beijing, the Maldives, Budapest, Paris, Kotor, Los Angeles, and New York City.

Professor Thai is teaching ASIAN 39001 International Migration for the Asian American Studies Program in Spring 2020.
