Lily Ann Divino, Asian American Studies

 

Lily Ann M. Divino, LCSW, MPH is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the Rape Crisis Coordinator at The Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center in upper Manhattan. She is bi-lingual in English and Spanish.

Ms. Divino's main areas of interest include sexual violence, domestic violence, teen relationship abuse, adolescent health and mental health, Asian Pacific Islander health and mental health, and cultural competency. Her specialties also include: youth development, immigrant health and mental health, community outreach/education, training, coalition development, advocacy, research, program development and management, grant-writing/grants administration, and the fine arts.

Ms. Divino received the Lydia Martinez Multidisciplinary Collaboration Award for Rape Crisis Professional from the New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault in March 2012. She is a co-founder and board member of the Kalusugan Coalition, Inc., a multidisciplinary collaboration to improve the health of the Filipino community in New York City and New Jersey. She has co-authored articles documenting the work of Kalusugan Coalition. She has been an active member of the Asian Pacific Islander Caucus for Public Health with the American Public Health Association and was on the caucus's Executive Committee from 2006-2011.

Ms. Divino received her MS in Social Work, Clinical Practice from Columbia University School of Social Work and her MPH, Sociomedical Sciences-Health Promotion/Disease Prevention, from the Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University. Her BA is in Studio Arts/Pre-Medical Program from the College of the Holy Cross. She is also a former volunteer of the Jesuit Volunteer Corps: Southwest (San Jose, CA). She is originally from New Jersey but has been a New Yorker since 1996. She enjoys drawing, writing, singing, cooking, graphic design, and traveling.
