About Hunter College
In The Community

Hunter College has been a strong presence in Manhattan since its creation in 1870. Hunter’s mission of public service, its commitment to academic excellence, and the involvement of its students, faculty, and staff in public service activities throughout New York City and in the commercial life of the metropolis have given the College an outstanding local and national reputation.

Hunter extends a warm invitation to the community to learn about the many opportunities for participation in the life and excitement of the College. We have established a neighborhood advisory board. For more information contact our director of external affairs.
