Our Faculty

Hunter has 1,800 full- and part-time faculty, all of them dedicated to teaching, research and other scholarly and creative endeavors, and community service. They receive grants from such prestigious institutions as the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Humanities, and they contribute to the most important professional journals in their fields. Many are national and international leaders in their fields, frequently called upon for their expertise by government and the private sector. But they also participate actively in the seminars and other programs the college organizes to foster excellent teaching and mentoring, and all of them give top priority to their students.
