All degrees offered by Hunter College are listed below, sorted alphabetically by major. For detailed information about degree requirements, please consult the college catalogs or the department website.

Note: This list does not include certificate programs that may be offered by Continuing Education or IELI.

 

Notes:

  1. Any BA or BS program can also be pursued as a minor.
  2. Four-semester sequence fulfills Foreign Language Requirement, but does not qualify as a major.
  3. Offered in conjunction with the CUNY Graduate Center and Brooklyn College.
  4. Offered in conjunction with the CUNY Graduate Center.
  5. MA offered only by Math Department.
  6. Includes classes in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science and Mathematics.
  7. For undergraduate Medical Lab Science students.
  8. Undergraduate students require a double-major in either English, English Language Arts, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, History, Geography, or Social Studies. Graduate students can pursue Childhood Education with a Bilingual Extension, or with a concentration in Math and Science. 
  9. Concentrations: School, Mental Health, Rehabilitation
  10. Early Childhood Education is also available with a Bilingual Extension.
  11. Concentrations: General Educational Psychology; Assessment, Research and Evaluation
  12. BA Concentrations: Language and Civilization; Literature
  13. Includes classes in Political Science, History, Anthropology, Philosophy, and Sociology.
  14. Includes classes in History, Hebrew, English, and Political Science.
  15. The BS/MA program is offered jointly with the Biology Department as a degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences/Biological Sciences with a specialization in Biotechnology.
  16. MA Concentrations: Composition, Ethnomusicology, Music History, Music Theory, Performance
  17. Offered in conjunction with Baruch College.
  18. Offered in conjunction with John Jay College.
  19. Includes classes in Urban Affairs and Planning, Economics, Political Science, History, and Sociology.
  20. Concentrations: Early Childhood, Childhood: Learning Disabilities, Childhood: Behavior Disorders, Severe/Multiple Disabilities, Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing, Blind and Visually-Impaired, Visual Impairment: Rehabilitation, Gifted and Talented
  21. Concentrations: Painting, Sculpture, Printmaking / Drawing / Works on Paper, Photography, Clay and Casting, Combined Media
  22. Concentrations: Pre-K-12, Adult
  23. Offered in conjunction with Brooklyn Law School.
