ACERT Teaching Scholarship Circles - Spring 2014

The Teaching Scholarship Circles offer a semester-long discussion series focusing on a specific topic. This past fall we offered two Circle events, one covering the pedagogy behind teaching hybrid courses and the other entitled, Is the Research Paper Dead?. This spring, we have an exciting line-up of four TSCs:

Web Writing: Making Scholarship and Teaching Social, Public, and Sharable

This series of four seminars will promote the use of web-based tools and practices to encourage faculty to consider new ways of producing and sharing knowledge both in the classroom and beyond. Click for additional information.

Arts Across the Curriculum

Faculty will work together to consider how they might infuse the visual and performing arts, as well as creative writing, into their existing courses at Hunter. Click for additional information.

Online and Hybrid Courses

Faculty will explore pedagogical questions derived both from their own practice and from current scholarship, with an eye towards deepening their practice and further developing their courses. This seminar is intended for faculty who are currently teaching, or have previous experience teaching, online or hybrid classes. Click for additional information.
