Bob de Luna is the Assistant Vice President for Communications at Hunter. Before joining Hunter, he served NYC Health + Hospitals, the public safety net health care system of New York City, as its press secretary and senior director of media relations.

From 2005 to 2016, he was director of public information at United Hospital Fund, where he was responsible for media relations and a range of internal and external communications needs. Immediately before, Bob was director of marketing and communications at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he coordinated and oversaw a comprehensive program for the hospital and medical school. Bob began his communications experience in 1994 at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center (since renamed), serving initially as director of publications, but ultimately leading all components of the hospital's public relations office. He coordinated a range of communications efforts related to the merger that created NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Bob's previous work experience includes running his own tutoring and test preparation company and a very early five-year career as a foreign currency exchange broker and trader.

The valedictorian of his Columbia University undergraduate class, Bob went on to do graduate work at Stanford University and NYU, where he received PhD fellowships. He has received numerous local and national awards for his work in communications and marketing. Bob serves as secretary of the board of VOICE Charter School, in Long Island City, and was a board member of the Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society of Greater New York for over a decade, including two terms as its president.
