Next Steps for Admitted Students

Step 1

Accept our offer!

Please log-in to your CUNYFirst account, click on 'View Details" in your Hunter College application, and click on "I accept". 


Step 2

Commit to
Hunter College


Once you have accepted our offer of admission in CUNYFirst, submit your $100 non-refundable deposit (if required in CUNYFirst) to reserve your seat in the Spring 2022r class.

Spring 2022 deposit deadline is Dec 15, 2021.
Deposits will accepted after the deadline on rolling basis until the class is full. 


Step 3

Get ready!


You are on your way to be a Hawk!

About 10-14 business days after the commitment and deposit are received (if required), you will receive your Admitted Student Portal via email. Your portal will be the base for your enrollment steps. Don't forget to check spam/junk folders in your inbox. 

Admitted Student Portal will have everything you need to enroll for Spring 2022 semester, such as:
> Spring 2022 orientation dates and registration
> Pre-advising information and instructions on how to set-up advising appointments
> Information on how to access your MyHunter email
> And much more!

New transfer?
Transfer credit evaluation process can take up to 3-4 weeks after your committmen and deposit(if required) have been received. Once completed and ready for review, you will be notified via email. As you wait, take a moment to review our transfer credit policy >>

New freshman?
Don't forget to send your scores/transcripts for all completed college level work. Click here for instructions >>

Hunter has several different residence halls, all on the east side of Manhattan with easy access to our main campus. Check out the web page below to read about our residence halls and apply for housing. >>

Apply for Financial Aid

If you haven’t filed your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or TAP (New York State Tuition Assistance Program) application yet, make sure you do so as soon as possible. Having this on file also makes you eligible for future Hunter scholarships!
