Leadership Opportunities for Current Students

Student Admissions Leaders Photo

Student Admissions Leader (SAL) Program

SALs are current Hunter College students who serve as the representatives of the college and the Office of Undergraduate Admissions & Recruitment. SALs introduce the Hunter College community to prospective students and their families via various on-campus visits, virtual admissions events, peer-to-peer texting exchange (no personal contact info given), and social media platforms.

Expected time commitment: 4-6 hrs per week

Student Ambassador Program (SA)

Student Ambassadors (SAs) are current students at Hunter College who conduct tours of campus for prospective students and their families. SAs are often asked to help with admissions events, on-campus visits, group visits, and other Hunter College events at large.

Expected time commitment: 4-6 hrs per week

How to apply? To become Student Ambassadors students need to be a Student Admissions Leader at least one academic semester. Apply to be a SAL now above!

UniBuddy Program

UniBuddy - is an online text-messaging system where future Hawks can connect with some of our awesome current students, alums, and staff, to answer questions about the specific area of study, the commuter or residence life experiences, or just general student experience as well.

Expected time commitment: 0-20 min per day (depend on the time of year)

Admissions Office Assistant

The Office of Undegraduate Admissions & Recruitment is looking for highly motivated and responsible students to join our Customer Service team at the Welcome Center. The job would entail responding to emails, answering inquires via phone, and serving as the face of Hunter College Admission office at the Welcome Center counter. We have a phenomenal student team currently and looking for someone as awesome to grow our numbers. All candidates must be eligible for Federal Work-Study program to apply for this position and available to work 5-15 hours per week during standard business hours.

Data Entry Student Worker

The Office of Undegraduate Admissions & Recruitment is looking for a responsible student with excellent data entry skills and attention to detail. The job would entail compiling research as asked by supervisor and entering student data on daily basis. All candidates must be eligible for Federal Work-Study program to apply for this position and available to work 5-15 hours per week during standard business hours.
