Summer Opportunity- Archaeological Field School in Tuscany

During the month of July 2016 the Laboratory of Ancient Topography of the University of Pisa and the Cooperative ArchaeoData will promote an archaeological field school opened to foreign and Italian students of archaeology who wish to have a hands-on experience of survey and excavation in Italy.

The field school will focus on the Roman port of Vada Volaterrana, along the coast of Tuscany. Here a settlement of considerable interest, related to the harbor system of one of the most famous Etruscan and Roman cities in Tuscany, Volterra, has been found and partially excavated.
