Summation Dance Van Tour

What will the intensive offer? 2 Master classes and the creation of a new work as an excerpt of the Van Tour that can be performed at any Hunter College Dance Department concert. Interested students will audition on Saturday, December 9th from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Artistic Directors, Sumi and Taryn will work with the selected group 4 hours/day from Monday through Thursday, January 22-26th, and 6 hours per day on Saturday and Sunday, January 27th and 28th. All of this is FREE OF COST for Hunter College dancers! Participating students may be invited to perform in the premiere of the work in New York City in 2019. These students would be participating in an innovative, nationwide collaborative dance piece, unlike any that has come before it.

Student Spotlight 2016

Congratulations to graduates, Nina Goldman, Desiree Betancourt, Elena Santiago, Uthman Ebrahim, Camille Freund, Sarah Galleano, Keyla Hiraldo, Duplessey Walker, Yao Xu, Jessica Pearl Marasigan, Timothy Junior Anderson, Ariel Asch, Monique Leflore, Monica Lessard, Maxine Montilus, Pia Murray, Shola Roberts, Anne Zuerner, Autumn Scoggan.  This AGDEP cohort, celebrates after recieving their Arnhold graduation pins.  Jody Arnhold presented a pin to each graduate, signifying his/her induction into the Arnhold LEAD initiative as each promise to live up to the Hunter College motto, "Mihi Cura Futuri," The care of the future is mine.  Joining the celebration are Hunter College President, Jenifer Raab, Hunter Dance Department Interim Chair, Carol Dilley, Dean Andrew Polsky and AGDEP Director, Kathleen Isaac.  As artists, educators and scholars, each AGDEP graduate enters into a never ending commitment to lifelong learning and leadership in dance.
