Jules De Balincourt received his BFA from California College of Arts and Crafts and an MFA from Hunter College in 2005. In his paintings, De Balincourt explores the tensions between leisure and survival and "us" and "them" to create at once humorous and apocalyptic images. His work has been exhibited at Zach Feuer Gallery, P.S. 1 and MoMA in New York City and the Musee d'Art Moderne de la Ville in Paris. His work is included in several prominent collections including the Oppenheimer-JCCC, the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Saatchi Collection. Jules De Balincourt lives and works in New York City.
