Wade Guyton received his BA from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and his MFA from Hunter in 1998. Guyton's paintings explore the mechanical reproduction and error by using commercial inkjet printers to create abstractions. Guyton has had solo exhibitions at Friedrich Petzel Gallery in New York, the Hamburg Kunstverein, and Harvard University’s Carpenter Center in Cambridge Massachusetts, La Salle de Bains at Lyon, and westlondonprojects, London, among many others. His work has also been included at the Kunsthalle, Zurich, the Whitney Biennial and Greater New York at P.S.1. He currently lives and works in New York City.
