Changha Hwang, born in Korea, received his BFA from Parson School of Design, and his MFA from Hunter in 2002. Hwang’s complex, large-scale abstract paintings layer interlocking grids and flat planes of vibrant color creating a dense pictorial architecture. He has exhibited widely at Massimo Audiello Gallery in New York, Galerie Anne de Villepoix in Paris, Galeria Marta Cevera in Madrid, Baronian Francey gallery in Brussels and at the Armory Show, New York; FIAC Paris, ARCO Madrid, Frieze London; Art Brussels; Art Basel, Miami.
