Warren Ashworth published an article on the award winning restoration of an 1852 church in Washington D.C. designed by Thomas Walter, one of the early architects associated with the U.S. Capitol building in the spring issue of Nineteenth Century Magazine. The church is now the Chinese Community Church.  The article details the faithful restoration of the building, the real estate forces that combined to underwrite the restoration, and the peripatetic history of this non-denominational congregation founded in 1932.
