The College of Fine Arts
The College of Fine Arts, one of four pillars of the Berlin University of the Arts holds a heritage stretching over 300 years.
This university is tasked primarily with the training of artists and art teachers. Approxamately 550 students study at the four institutes (Art, Aesthetic Education and Civilisation Studies, Arts Studies and Aesthetics, and – specially for postgraduate and complementary studies – the Institute of Art in Context).
Berlin University of the Arts's main building holds classrooms and various workshops including facilities for painting, wood, metal, printmaking, textiles, photographic processing and computer/tech art.
The College fosters lively exchanges with other universities within national and international networks. It holds space for numerous projects in analysis and research, the development of professional practice and a furthering of aesthetic education. The College has the right to confer doctorates.
