Cultural Partners

Working to expand students' exposure to the arts beyond the classroom, the Arts Across the Curriculum initiative is forging partnerships with cultural organizations throughout New York City. The institutions below have agreed to offer special discounts and privileges to Hunter College students, faculty, and staff.

Asia Society
725 Park Avenue
New York, NY 10021

Students, faculty, and staff of Hunter College need only walk a block north of campus to visit the Asia Society, the most prominent organization working to increase dialogue and understanding between the United States and Asia.

Anyone with a valid Hunter ID gets free access to highly respected exhibits, events and resources, while special programs are available at the member-discount rate. The Asia Society also allows Hunter faculty to integrate events and materials into their coursework and possibly be invited to become Non-Resident Fellows of the organization.

Each year, three Hunter College students may be awarded Non-Resident internships, which provide valuable experience working with the Asia Society on issues of policy, business, education, arts, and culture.
