Andrew J. Polsky, Acting Dean of the School of Arts & Sciences has been awarded the 2013 Polity Prize. The Polity Prize is awarded for the best article published in the distinguished political science journal Polity in 2012
In a theoretically ambitious and historically rich article, Polsky delineates "the partisan regime as an ideal type." Drawing on a growing literature in American Political Development on partisan regime theory, he challenges many of its key presuppositions and advances innovative conceptual modifications.
