Hunter Faculty from Sociology Department to Lead Discussion at Tenement Museum
Professors Margaret Chin, Nancy Foner and Phil Kasinitz, of Hunter's Sociology Department, will participate in "Tenement Talks," a free evening series of lectures, readings, panel discussions, films and other programs that on Wednesday, October 8 at 6:30pm, will feature a discussion on contemporary immigration. The Tenement Museum invited the three to share their work, which explores immigration in New York City today, in order to help provide the public with "a historical and contemporary perspective on New York City's rich culture." Museum staff will join the conversation, sharing their planning ideas for the museum's upcoming 103 Orchard Street Exhibit.
