Hunter Student Kathriana Kengni to Participate in Author-Student Panel Discussion at Festival Neue Literatur

Kathriana Kengni, a student in the German Department, has been selected as a participant in the student-author panel discussion, “Words with Writers”, at the seventh edition ofthe Festival Neue Literatur (FNL).  The theme of the upcoming FNL is “Queer as Volk”, highlighting contemporary German-language literature that engages with questions and issues around queer identities and literature.  The event will take place at the Austrian Cultural Forum New York (www.acfny.org) on March 3, 2017. It will run for approximately three hours, kicking off at 5pm with a private meet-and-greet session at which students are introduced to the festival’s six German-language authors over refreshments.  Kathriana Kengni will interview the author Simon Froehling.  The evening will be moderated by the festival curator and Grove Atlantic senior editor Peter Blackstock.
