Professor Claudia Orenstein Appears on Theatre History Podcast to Explain Indian Shadow Puppetry

Professor Claudia Orenstein, of the Theatre Department, recently appeared on Howlround.com's 'Theatre History Podcast'   http://howlround.com/theatre-history-podcast-57-dr-claudia-orenstein-on-the-evolving-art-of-tolpavakoothu  to discuss Tolpavakoothu, described as "a traditional form of shadow puppetry from Kerala, in southern India." According to the website, Dr. Orenstein joined the podcast "to explain what tolpavakoothu is, and to introduce us to the Pulavars, the family of puppeteers who are finding new and surprising ways to keep their tradition alive while bringing it into the twenty-first century."
