The
Hunter College Residence Hall Dorms are located on the College's
Brookdale Campus. They contain 646 rooms that are available
to all students and Bellevue Nurses.

Applications
Due
to the overwhelming demand for affordable housing in New York
City, the Office of Residence Life receives far more requests
for housing than can be fulfilled. The application period
for the Fall Semester begins in March so students can receive
acceptance notices in mid-June. The application period for
the Spring semester begins in October so students can receive
acceptance notices by December. Students who are not accepted

Priority
for housing is generally given to returning students, those
students accepted into specific scholarship programs, by class
rank (senior, junior, etc.) and by the date the application
is received.
All requests
for additional information about the dorms and application
status should be made directly to the phone number listed
above. The Bursar's Office processes dorm payments and
distributed dorm refunds. This office does not handle
application decisions or initiate dorm refunds. Please

ALL FEES ARE PER STUDENT PER SEMESTER
Fines and Penalties :
All
debts must be settled prior to the student moving into their
dorm room. If payment is not made in full, an academic STOP
will be placed on a student's records, limiting their ability
to obtain any official Hunter College documents including
transcripts, grades, etc.
Room Information:
- All rooms are furnished with a bed,
mattress, desk, chair and dresser. Each floor is equipped
with a kitchen
- 2 bed suites, 2 room suites and studio
rooms have private bathrooms
- Single and double rooms have communal
restrooms located in the hallway
- Room rental for the Fall Semester
includes the use of the space during the Winter Intercession
- There is no food service in the Residence
Hall Dorm. A small café is open weekdays offering
light meals and snacks
- Each floor has a lounge for studying
- Each floor is equipped with wireless
service for laptops
- Residence Hall amenities include
a swimming pool, game room and laundry services. The Brookdale
campus has a library and computer lab

- Single rooms only rented at $548/month
- One person per room
