Fitness Instructor
The need for qualified Fitness Instructors continues to grow. To meet this demand Hunter College, with top fitness experts, created a hands-on program that trains you for a career in the fitness arena.
Why Enroll?
According to the U.S. government Bureau of Labor Statistics, the fitness field can expect a 29% increase in fitness roles in the coming years; a much faster rate than health care positions and therapist roles. Fitness professionals have the ability to work independently by starting their own business developing customized workout regimens and nutrition programs for clients, or work in fitness clubs specializing in group-training or individualized personal training. With these possibilities, fitness professionals may earn unlimited incomes, based upon the ability to provide an in-demand service to an increasing number of clients. If you have a passion for fitness and are interested in becoming part of a growing field, this certificate offers hands-on experiential training that prepares you for future certifications such as ACE, NASM, ACSM, and for work in health clubs as instructors, managers and personal trainers. The Certificate In Fitness Instructor at Hunter’s Continuing Education prepares you for a career as a:
- Fitness Instructor
- Creative Movement Instructor
- Group Fitness Instructor
- Personal Trainer
- Fitness Coach
What’s more, Continuing Education's Fitness Instructor program has partnered with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) to get you well on your way to a booming career. Together, we’ll be here for you every step of the way.
