Web Design Certificate

The intent of web design is to create a web site using elements such as text, bit-mapped images, and forms which can be placed on the page using HTML/XHTML/XML tags. You will also learn how to integrate more complex media using plug-ins such as Adobe Flash, QuickTime, and Java.

Certificate in Web Design $3,300

Note for students who registered before Fall 2012: There are 8 required courses to complete the Web Design Certificate:  Visual Design for Everyone, Creating a Web Page with HTML, Introduction to Cascading Style Sheets, Introduction to Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop 1, Adobe Illustrator 1, Introduction to Flash and The Business of Graphic Design.

 

Registration: This Certificate consists of 10 required courses. Tuition is $3,300 plus a one time $20 registration fee, or you can register for each course individually, with a $20 registration fee per semester. To register for the complete certificate, you must register in person. To register online for individual courses please click on the Course Browser/Registration.

Note for those registering online: Please call our office at 212.650.3850 to select classes you are taking per semester.   Please be aware that you are registering for the certificate and that you still need to call/come in to the office to choose the classes. If you wish to do a Payment Plan,  please come to our office E1022 ( Mon-Fri 9am-5pm).

Course Materials, Books, Software:  If you register for the Certificate you will need to buy the CS6 creative suite premium. You can buy this on Academicsuperstore.com. After 48 business hours you can get a Hunter College ID with this you can buy the software at a student discount.Alternatively, Adobe now offers the Icloud: you pay a monthly student fee to have access to all adobe products. This might be the way to go since software can be updated as often as every 6 months.
