Theatre Certificate

Our new Certificate in Practical Theatre is designed for students who wish to have sufficient theatre training to be able to pursue a career in the theatre, or who wish to apply for certain theatre training programs which accept students without a B.A. In addition, this certificate will give students effective communication skills for strength and more confidence in the area of public speaking. Students will also develop a broad range of basic theatre skills, including Acting, and Directing. Students will need to complete 8 required courses finishing with practicums in Acting and Directing. Upon satisfactory completion of 108 hours, the student will be awarded the new Certificate in Practical Theatre. This new Certificate Program in Theatre is not affiliated with the Hunter College Theatre Department.

 

Registration and Tuition:
This program consists of 8 required courses finishing with Acting and Directing Practicum. Upon satisfactory completion of 108 hours, the student will be awarded the Certificate in Practical Theatre.  Tuition is $2,100 plus one time $20 registration fee, or you can register for each course individually for with a $20 registration fee per semester. Payment plan options are available. Students must register in person to enroll in a payment plan option. Certificate Students must visit or contact the registration office at 212-650-3850 Monday through Friday 9am-5pm to choose their class schedule per semester.  Learn more about the benefits of registering for the entire certificate program.

Note: Certificate Cannot Be Completed In One Semester.

Continuing Education Certificate Programs are part-time non-credited courses and therefore we do not issue student visas.
