Computer Security/Forensics Tech Certificate
As a security technician you will learn how to use the right computer tools to restrict access to only authorized persons and so prevent attackers, hackers, viruses, etc., which can cost the organization huge sums of money and even the corruption or destruction of valuable data, computer hardware, and software. To get the certificate you must complete both levels.
Computer Security/Forensics Tech I ( Basic Level 40 hours) $700
This course will teach the students the following skills:
Introduction; Computer Security Intro; Networking and Security basics; General Security Concepts; Access control; Attacks and Malicious code; Communication Security; Remote Connectivity; E-mail and Internet Security; FTP and; Directory Services; Wireless LANS; Infrastructure Security; Devices and media; Security Topologies; Security Baselines; Incident Response Procedures; Computer Forensics Intro; Computer Forensics IRP basics; Looking Ahead; Basic Cryptography; Network Defenses; Authentication; Disaster Avoidance Planning; Disaster Recovery Planning and Control
Course Prerequisites:
You can use a computer e.g. type a document, browse the internet, e-mail etc.
Familiarity with the internal devices of the PC and how they function will be a great advantage. Students for this course will do well to also have at least a basic knowledge of Computer Network Systems, the equipments and how they function. Students who seriously lack this knowledge may need to first take either one of: Computer PC Technicians course (Basic Level) OR Computer PC Network Technicians course (Basic Level)

Computer Security/Forensics Tech II ( Advance Level 40 hours) $700
This course will teach the students the following skills:
Network and Security Basics; OSI Model - Layers and functions; System Threats and Risks; Virtualized Systems; Network Vulnerabilities and Attacks; Network Defenses - Protecting Systems; Wireless Network Security; Authentication; Security Audits; Cryptography Fundamentals; Physical Security; Business Continuity Planning Disaster Recovery Planning; Security Management; Computer Forensics and Incident Response
Course Prerequisites:
Complete the basic level Computer Security training/knowledg
