Dasha began interning at CHEST in 2007 and was hired as a Research Associate in 2009. She graduated from Hunter College with a degree in psychology as well as departmental honors for completing her senior thesis on the sex education experiences of emerging adults using data from the Club Drugs and Health Project. She received the Livingston Welsh Award for Excellence in Research for this thesis.
Dasha has volunteered at The Door, a center for young people ages 12 -21, as a member services intake counselor and is currently interning at the Center for Motivation and Change, a private clinical practice focusing on substance abuse. Her interests include improving comprehensive sex education as well as familial interaction and communication with regards to sex and drug education. She plans to travel the world as a sex and health educator.
