Major and Minor
Major in Hebrew
24 credits
The major consists of 24 credits from courses beyond HEBR 101-102. In general, a Hebrew major is required to complete a minimum of four courses at the 300 level in Hebrew. Courses conducted in English may be applied toward partial fulfillment of the Hebrew major provided they are part of a coherent program approved by the head of the division.
Minor in Hebrew
12 credits
The Hebrew minor requires the successful completion of 12 credits at the 200-level or above. Courses counted toward the Hebrew minor must be either language courses or have Hebrew as their language of instruction.
Minor in Hebraic Studies
12 credits
The Hebraic Studies minor requires the successful completion of four HEBR literature and/or culture courses at the 200-level or above, taught in English or in Hebrew. Two Hebrew language courses at 300-level or above may be used toward the minor requirement in lieu of two literature or culture courses.
