2013 Summer Science Institute Application Instructions

Thank you for your interest in our Summer Science Institute for 2013! Below are the steps below which MUST be completed at the time of submitting your application packet. Skipping any of the steps below will result in a delay in your application process. The deadline for summer applications is Friday, May 3, 2013. Applications must be submitted by 5:00PM that day!

Supporting documents must be in our office by the deadline, not postmarked. Applications that are in our office and are complete with transcripts, PSATs, and/or SATs along with the parent and media consent forms by the above deadline will have the best chances of being admitted. Applications received after this date will be considered late.

Step #2: Click here to apply online to our 2013 Summer Science Institute program.

Step #3: Click here to download the Parent Consent and Media forms. These forms must be submitted along with your transcript and PSAT/SAT scores.

Step #4: Below is the application submission checklist. All steps that MUST be followed in order to guarantee that your application is complete.

  1. Read all the information pages with details about our classes, schedule, eligibility, and timeline.
  2. Fill out the application online. The ‘thank you’ page indicates a successfully submitted application.
  3. Print out the Parent consent form. All students must get this form signed by a parent or guardian. If you are 18 or older, also print out the Media consent form. The consent form(s) should be submitted along with your transcript and PSAT/SAT scores. Remember, these documents have to be in our office by May 3rd, not postmarked by May 3rd. You can fax your documents to (212)772-5196, email them to or drop them off in the Welcome Center, room 100N. If you would like to mail in your documents, our address is :

You will hear back from us by e-mail and postal mail by the end of May or early June. Please make sure to check your e-mail at least once a day. Thank you for applying.
