Ratings, Rankings and Awards
- Hunter was ranked #2 among "Best Value Colleges for 2010" according to the Princeton Review and USA Today.
- The 2010 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best Colleges” ranked Hunter 45th (up seven places) in the Best Universities-Master's (North) category, 10th (up two places) in the list of Top Public Universities (North), 1st among Master's Universities whose students graduate with the lowest debt burden, and 4th for racial diversity in the Universities-Master's category.
- The 2010 edition of the Princeton Review's "Best 371 Colleges" guidebook gave Hunter high marks for its Diverse Student Population, Financial Aid, Selectivity of Admissions, Green or Environmental Awareness, Academic Bang for the Buck and Fire Safety.
- In 2009, Hunter was one of only seven schools in the nation to receive a grade of A from the American Council of Alumni and Trustees (ACTA) on its new website, WhatWillTheyLearn.com, which grades schools based on their required courses.
- In early 2009, Hunter was cited as one of the Best Northeastern Colleges by the Princeton Review, and was ranked 8th among "Best Value Colleges for 2009" according to the Princeton Review and USA Today.
