The new CUNY Institute of Education Policy (CIEP) at Roosevelt House is launching a series of breakfast conversations on education with New York City mayoral candidates.

The first of these forums will be held at 8:00 am on August 1, when David Steiner, CIEP Director and Hunter College Dean of Education, talks to candidate Bill de Blasio, current Public Advocate, about the future of the City's public education system. Would he cede mayoral control? Would he support charter schools? Would he move to implement rigorous teacher evaluations?
