Acting School of Arts and Sciences Dean Andrew Polsky to Appear on C-Span December 8

Hunter College School of Arts and Sciences Acting Dean and Professor of Political Science Andrew Polsky's talk on presidential wartime leadership, presented to the New York Military Affairs Symposium on October 25, will air on C-SPAN3 at 9:15am ET this Sunday, December 8. It will also stream live at www.c-span.org/History. Once it airs, it will be posted permanently to this page.

Professor Polsky is the author of Elusive Victories: The American Presidency at War, which was chosen as a main selection of the History Book Club. In addition, he is the author of The Rise of the Therapeutic State and numerous scholarly articles and chapters on the American presidency, wartime presidential leadership, political parties, business in American politics, and American political development. From 2005 to 2010, he served as the editor of Polity, ranked among the ten best-known political science scholarly journals.
