Hunter’s 2015 Winners of NSF Graduate Research Fellowships

Dalila Ordonez ’13, Benjamin Ruisch ’13 and Alexander Teachey ’15 have each won the 2015 National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. This top prize provides the winners with an annual stipend for three years, opportunities for international research and professional development, and the freedom to conduct their own research at their chosen graduate school.

Ordonez graduated from Hunter with a major in psychology and a minor in biology. She is currently studying neuroscience at Harvard.

Ruisch graduated from the Thomas Hunter Honors program with majors in psychology and German and a minor in media studies. He is currently studying social psychology at Cornell University.

Teachey is majoring in physics with a minor in math, and looks forward to future studies in astronomy and astrophysics.
