Congratulations to Audrey Stienon, ‘14, who has won a Luce Scholarship – the first Hunter College student to win this prestigious honor!

Stienon is a native New Yorker who will graduate this spring from the Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College with a double major in Political Science and Economics, and with a minor in Public Policy.

The Luce Scholars Program, an initiative of the Henry Luce Foundation, is a nationwide fellowship program that is intended to enhance the understanding of Asia among potential leaders in American society. Drawing on a pool of nominees from 75 colleges and universities, the highly competitive program provides stipends, language training and individualized professional placement in Asia for15 to 18 scholars each year. Scholars may be placed in Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand or Vietnam.
