Hunter's Steve Greenbaum Named Jefferson Science Fellow

Steve Greenbaum, professor of physics at Hunter College , has been named one of 13  Jefferson Science Fellows for 2014-2015. The prestigious fellowship was established in 2003 by the Office of the Science and Technology Adviser to the U.S. Secretary of State. Fellows spend one year on an assignment in Washington at the State Department or the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and may also travel for extended stays to U.S. foreign embassies or missions. In general, assignments involve providing up-to-date expertise in rapidly advancing areas of science, technology, engineering and medicine that affect the policy decisions of the State Department and USAID.
