Princeton Review Ranks Hunter Among Nation's Top 376 Colleges

Hunter College has once again been named one of the “Best 376 Colleges” as determined by an annual survey conducted by The Princeton Review.  Though the overall list does not assign individual ranks, Hunter also made the cut in a number of “Top 20” category lists, including “Lots of Race/Class Interaction” and “Great Financial Aid.” The complete results can be seen at www.PrincetonReview.com.

The ratings are unique because they are determined almost entirely by student responses rather than a pre-existing statistical calculus.  Survey questions cover everything from academics to student life, and many of the answers are extensively quoted in an individual school’s profile, a la Zagat guides. Hunter’s profile begins with the following: “New Yorkers seeking ‘a superb learning environment for the independent and self-motivated’ should check out Hunter College, a school that offers ‘a great education at an affordable price.’”

Earlier this year, The Princeton Review named Hunter one of the nation’s “Top Ten Best Value” public colleges for the third year in a row.
