Prolific Psych Prof Hauber Gives Publishing Advice in Current Issue of Nature
Hunter professor of psychology and animal behavior Mark Hauber is prominently featured in a current article in the leading international science journal Nature, delivering advice about how to get published in major trade magazines and journals.
Titled "Publications: Publish like a pro," the article begins by recounting Hauber’s patience and persistence in helping a former student successfully navigate the submission process. After facing rejection from several publications, the student’s paper was ultimately accepted by a high-profile scientific journal. “The submission process is fast enough today; it's worth the effort of sending your paper to the highest journals where it belongs,” says Hauber.
As the article makes clear, Hauber knows what he is talking about – since his own papers are published at an approximate rate of one every two weeks.
