Statement from Hunter College President Jennifer J. Raab on Recent Executive Order

We join with the Chancellor and the CUNY Board of Trustees in our deep concern over the impact of the new Executive Order concerning entry to the country. Our first priority has been to identify and reach out to members of our campus community affected by the Executive Order so we can provide appropriate support and assistance.

We recommend that students with individual questions or concerns to contact Chris Aviles, Specialist, Student Services and faculty or staff to contact John Rose, Dean for Diversity and Compliance. We have and will continue to offer support through CUNY Citizenship Now, CUNY CLEAR and other resources.

We believe firmly that talent knows no border; Hunter cherishes the contributions, energy and creativity of our immigrant and international students, faculty and staff. Hunter remains committed to celebrating our diversity, respecting and honoring the dignity of each individual and preserving our inclusive community.
