Welcome to the Hunter College Community Health Program

What is Community Health?

Community health professionals work to improve the health and well-being of entire communities. Whereas a clinical health professional might treat an elderly diabetic patient, a community health professional works to understand and reduce a particular community's elevated risk for diabetes.

The Community Health Program at Hunter College

Part of Hunter's School of Urban Public Health, students in the Community Health (COMHE) Program study to develop the skills needed to be able to effectively answer a vast array of public health questions regarding disease, violence, and healthcare, through a social justice lens.

The COMHE Program offers a BS in Community Health.

Beginning in Fall 2018 the program will also offer a Minor in Community Health
