Deadlines
Matriculate (degree program)
The deadline each year is February 1 to apply for the MS degree program in COMSC.
Non-matriculate
In order to be considered for admission to Hunter College as a graduate non-degree student, you must hold the equivalent of a US bachelor's degree. Deadlines for processing non-matriculate status are:
| Fall Semester | July 1 |
| Winter Session | October 15 |
| Spring Semester | December 15 |
| Summer Session | April 15 |
In addition, non-matriculate students must also obtain department permission to take pre-requisite COMSC courses. Permission is granted during transcript review 3-4 weeks prior to the start of each semester via Open Advisement Sessions. These sessions are appointment-only at which time prospective students may discuss admissions criteria.
Only students with an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.3 (that's three point three) will be given permission to take COMSC pre-requisite courses.
To make an appointment and receive notification of the next Open Advisement Session, contact the COMSC office.
