Clinic Director

The Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology's Clinic Director has multiple responsibilities inclusive of teaching and chief administrator of the Hunter College Center for Communication Disorders. The clinic director discusses with faculty the status of each matriculated student's knowledge and skill development, issues related to on-campus and off-campus clinical assignments, research, and continuing education opportunities for externship supervisors.

Because Hunter College is one of 21 accredited graduate programs in communication sciences and disorders in the New York City area, the clinic director is actively involved in the Metropolitan New York Council of University Clinic Directors in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Along with the department chair, the clinic director attends the annual meeting of the Council of Academic Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Participating in these organizations' functions allows the directors to relay dialogue between faculty and other educational institutions about classroom and clinical education.

Students and faculty are welcome to discuss clinical, academic and community issues with the clinic director as well as use the director's office as a springboard for related ideas.

Currently serving as Clinic Director is Don Vogel, AuD.
