Every deadline you need to know
PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS
Open house: Tuesday November 3, 2009, at 7.30pm.
Location: In the Faculty Dining Room, 8th Floor, West Building, Hunter College, Southwest corner of 68th St. & Lexington Ave, New York City.
RSVPs: Required. Send an email to mfa@hunter.cuny.edu with the following in the subject line: "RSVP Open House 2009, [your name], [your preferred genre - fiction, nonfiction or poetry]"
Application deadline: February 1, 2010 (postmark/online submission);
Notification: If you're on the short list,
you will be contacted by the third week of March. If you're on the long list, you'll hear from us by early April. New MFA students receive their registration packets by the first
week of June.
ENROLLED STUDENTS
Fall Semester
Semester begins: Late August
Filing for graduation: First two weeks in September
Current student registration: Early December
Spring Semester
Semester begins: Late January
Filing for graduation: First 2 weeks of February
Current student registration: Early May.
GRADUATING STUDENTS
If this is your final semester, you must deliver your thesis to
your advisor and second reader one week before the end of the semester.
On the last day of classes, you must deliver it to the Dean of Arts
and Sciences.
