Welcome to the Computer Science Department

Technology, Information, Theory & Systems

The Department of Computer Science is located at Hunter's 68th street campus on the upper east side of Manhattan. Providing students with outstanding preparation both for employment as computer professionals and for future graduate study, the department expects students to construct creative solutions to challenging problems in a variety of contexts. The small but diverse faculty works closely with students in an open and collegial atmosphere. Our curriculum focuses on hands-on programming skills as well as the mathematics of computer science— the theoretical foundations that support current technology and will guide its future development. TUTORING IS BACK FOR SPRING 2015!

Walk in Tutoring for CSCI 12700 (Intro to Computer Science); CSCI 13500 and CSCI 23500 (Ananlysis & Design I and II).  Download the schedule here.   Tutoring for CSCI 12700, 135 and 235 takes place in Room HN 1009 (next to the Department Office).

NEW!  Tutoring for CSCI 15000, Discrete Structures; CSCI 16000 and CSCI 26000, Computer Architecture 1 & 2 begins 3/2.

  • Mondays:  2:00p - 7:00p   -  Room HN 1000-J
  • Wednesdays:  5:00p - 7:30p (except on 3/4; 3/18; 4/15; 4/22; 5/6 -- when tutoring will begin at 5:30pm) - Room HN 1000-J
  • Fridays:  5:30p - 7:00p  -  Room HN 1000-J
  • Saturdays: 4:00p - 7:00p   -  Room HN 1000-J

APPROACHING DEADLINES

April 2 (Thursday) is the deadline to submit a DAAF form (Graduation Audit form) for June 2015 graduation.  It is ADVISABLE to have the forms in well before then.
