Hunter College Students Awarded MIT Summer Internships

Three Hunter College undergraduates have been awarded prestigious MIT Summer Research Internships for 2017. Computer Science major Gil Dekel will work under Professor Boris Katz at The InfoLab on natural language processing. Computer Science major Nishad Sharker will work under Professor Pawan Sinha in his lab on vision and computational neuroscience. Biology major Elizabeth Gorodetsky will work under Professor Vander Hiden in his lab at the Koch Institute on mitochondrial biology and aspartate production in cancer metabolism.

These awards are highly competitive and greatly enhance students' future opportunities. These scholars will receive a generous stipend and housing for 10 weeks as they participate in an intensive research experience.
