New Results from Lei Lab

Prof. Lei Xie

An interdisciplinary team, led by Prof. Lei Xie from the computer science department, has new results.  A paper titled "MSA-Regularized Protein Sequence Transformer toward Predicting Genome-Wide Chemical-Protein Interactions: Application to GPCRome Deorphanization" has been accepted by the Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling. The authors include Hunter computer science undergraduate student Kyra Abbu, and graduate students Tian Cai in Computer Science, Yue Qiu in Biology, and Hansaim Lim in Biochemistry. 

Dr. Xie is a professor in Computer Science at Hunter College, CUNY. He is interested in developing novel machine learning algorithms and applying them to drug discovery and personalized medicine.
