TEST OUT OF CSCI 127, 135 and/or 150

The Computer Science Department allows student to "test-out" of CSCI 127, CSCI 135 and/or CSCI 150. If you can pass the "Test-Out Exam" with a grade of 80% or better, we will award you course credit (listed on your transcript as "Credit by Exam") and permit you to take more advanced Computer Science courses as if you had successfully completed the course itself. Read on for the department test out policy, subject areas for each of the tests.

Next "Test-Out" dates: August 3-6 2020, from 10:00am to 1:00pm OR 2:00pm to 5:00pm in HN-1001E.

The Computer Science department offers three test-out periods a year: mid-January, mid-June, and mid-August. There will be three days of testings offered consecutively (Tues-Thurs), from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm each day. Due to the COVID-19 virus, the Computer Science Department will only offer two days of testout exams on August 4-5, 2020, with one session each day (10am-1pm). The testouts for 127 and 135 will be offered ONLINE through Gradescope. Please create a Dropbox account using your myhunter email! If you're taking the 150 testout, please have access to a printer and scanner: you will be required to print the testout exam, scan it, and upload it to a Dropbox repository.
