CUNYfirst
Information about the CUNYfirst Enterprise Resource Planning program.
What is CUNYfirst?
The "first" in CUNYfirst stands for Fully Integrated Resources and Services Tool. New CUNYfirst processes in Student Administration, Human Resources and Finance will change how we do everything from registering for classes to paying our bills. CUNYfirst applications will replace aging legacy systems like SIMS and CUPS, and help us streamline and standardize many of the things we do at Hunter College.
When will CUNYfirst be in place?
The PeopleSoft™ processes that our students, faculty and staff will interact with will be implemented in phases – we will create our base processes for business, HR and academic structure first, then add new elements (modules) in the next few years. This Project is planned to extend through early 2012, with ongoing processes and upgrades expected to continue for the forseeable future.
The first phase will be General Ledger, which will be implemented at Hunter College (and all other CUNY colleges) starting July 2008.
How can I learn more?
If you are involved with General Ledger, there are training sessions throughout the spring, the dates and times of which will be posted once the schedule is confirmed. You can also contact the Hunter Campus Liaisons with any questions you may have. Additional training opportunities will be posted as they become available.
