Undergraduate Classes
Technique classes are offered in Contemporary and Postmodern practice, as well as Ballet, West African, Hip Hop, and Folk forms. Incoming students require permission for entrance into Ballet & Contemporary Techniques above the Fundamentals Level. Entrance for these courses is based on placement auditions held prior to the beginning of both the fall and spring semesters.
Additional courses are offered in Anatomy & Kinesiology, Dance History, Musicianship, Improvisation, Composition, Choreography, Production, Lecture/Demonstration Touring Group, Repertory (with invited guest choreographers), Dance as a Cultural Practice (Dance, Dancer, and The Audience), Teaching Methods for PreK - 12th grade students, Independent Study, and a Senior Seminar.
