MFA/Dance Degree

VISION
The goal of this degree program is to nurture artistry, vision, intellectual and physical rigor, and concrete real-world skills through a studio-based study of movement and choreography, boundary-breaking ideas and research in theory/aesthetics/history/cultural studies and up-to-date approaches to, and skills in, dance pedagogy focused on the higher education environment.

3. To nurture vital artistic and professional ties to a variety of active dance communities locally, nationally and internationally;
3. To produce accomplished artists/educators well prepared for careers as teachers, particularly in college/university environments;
4. To serve a diverse population of early and mid-career professionals drawn from a culturally heterogeneous population.
